We want December mornings to go well. An advent calendar is a little different from other toys, because the fun is in opening the doors, so here is exactly how returns work.
ChonkyRigs accepts returns of items purchased on our website within 30 days of delivery, subject to the conditions below. Items cannot be returned more than 30 days after delivery.
Once a door has been opened, the calendar cannot be resold as new, so an opened calendar is not eligible for return.
Returns are therefore accepted only for calendars with all 24 doors still closed, in an undamaged box.
If you are not sure whether your calendar qualifies, e-mail us and describe exactly what happened - we will look at it case by case and tell you honestly where you stand.
To be accepted, a return must meet all of the following:
Any sign of use or damage will invalidate the return.
E-mail hello@chonkyrigs.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We will reply with instructions. Please do not send anything back before you have received those instructions - unannounced returns cannot be processed.
Once a return is approved, please send the item back within 14 days.
You are responsible for the cost of return shipping and for packaging the item securely. Please use a sturdy outer box and a tracked service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive an untracked return. Items damaged in return transit may have their refund reduced or refused.
Once your return is received and inspected we will e-mail you to confirm that it has arrived and whether the refund has been approved or rejected. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, normally within 14 days of us receiving the item.
Order add-ons: Shipping Protection is free and has no refund value.
Banks and card providers usually need a further 2–3 business days to post a refund. If more time than that has passed and you still have not seen it, e-mail us at hello@chonkyrigs.com and we will look into it.
Every calendar is packed with 52 pieces: 10 vehicles, 41 accessories and 1 play mat. If a piece is missing or broken when the door is opened, or the box arrives crushed, e-mail hello@chonkyrigs.com with your order number and a photo. Report damage to the box within 48 hours of delivery; report a missing or broken piece as soon as you find it, and no later than 7 days after the last door. We will send the missing piece, a replacement piece or a new calendar at no cost to you. You do not need to send anything back.
We use the carrier's delivery timestamp when reviewing damage claims, and claims raised long after delivery may not be possible to honour.
WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD. Small parts. Not for children under 3 years. The cones, rocks, drums, barrels, signs and other accessories are small parts. Keep them away from babies and pets, and check the set before giving it to a child. A piece lost during play is not a defect and is not covered by this policy.
If the calendar was a gift, the person who received it can start a return by following the same steps above, using the order number from the buyer. Refunds go back to the original payment method. A missing or broken piece in a gifted calendar can be reported by either the buyer or the recipient.
We cannot accept returns of calendars with any door opened, items returned without the play mat or inner tray, or items damaged by use contrary to the age guidance and warnings.
